Ok, I purchased a car in August. It is a 1987 Firebird. By the VIN it has the anemic motor. Can't think of the number right now, but it is a 305. The motor in there hauls ***. Anyway, I have tried to find numbers off block, but they are not where the books say it should be. Where is a good spot to look. Also is there any quick way to tell what is in there.

Behind the driver's side head on top of the bell housing casting is where it is supposed to be. Where have you looked?
