Swap Prep Questions
As I'm waiting on my LE2 heads (off a 97 Camaro) to get back from Lloyd Elliot Port works. I have a few questions about some accessories and parts. To inform you on what I have: A '92 Corvette short block that’s about to be freshen up. The ECU out a '94 Z28 and the wire harness is out a '95. The first item I have a question about is the MSD LT1 Distributor Cap and Rotor kit what years do I go with (93-94 or 95-97)? Also when buying my 58mm throttle body do I get a 92-93 MAP or do I get a 94-97 MAF? I will be running Corvette accessories since I already have the bracket. Any help on what I can match and can not would be awesome.

Your 92' shortblock, if you arent replacing the cam, would require using a 92-94 F/Y body Opti, if you are changing the cam and replacing the opti you could run the 95-97 F/Y body (94-96) B body Optispark, just so long as your cam / opti / timing chain match you're ok there. As far as the throttle body and MAF / MAP is concerned, since you are running a 94-95 PCM and harness I would get the newer style throttle body since it will use the IAC with the correct connector, BTW 94-97 LT1s use both a MAF and a MAP so you'll want both sensors.
