hermonic damper ?

Just like to say hi first.Reason for not posting.If you do a search on this great site youll find what you need. Ok installing older 2piece seal 350 mtr.I read that i need a 82 - 85 flywheel and starter. What hermonic bal. to use one off my 87 350 our the one on the older mtr.Oh ya im not crazy This just to get back to the track While rebuiding the roller mtr.thanks

The 87 crank damper will work fine, if its rubber isn't separated. Use it, and use the stock timing cover that came with it, if you want a timing mark that is useable.

Yes, the harmonic balancer from most any 350 will work, provided that it wasn't a performance engine with a custom crank etc.. then most likely the engine was professionally balanced and the H.B. is different from factory.

If it was "professionally" balanced, rather than a hack job, the balancer will be untouched and all the weight changes will be on the crank.
