LT1 rebuild question

I'm rebuilding a 95 LT1 out of 9C1 caprice for my 92 RS

Is the water pump drive under the timing cover serviceable because the when i spin the shaft i feel drag almost like the bearing is bad, but everything is tight when I removed the retainer and i couldn't remove the shaft is it pressed in?

TIA
Dave

The shaft is pressed into the bearing. Some slight tapping with a ford tool will work to get it out. The bearing is replaceable but I do believe it is a dealer only item. You may be able to get a number off of it and cross it.
