Head Question for 305 to 350 swap

I have a 350 that is basically stock that I am looking at dropping down in a 1990 Iroc, that used to be Tuned port but now is Carbed... I may cam it a bit, I havent started looking up info on cams yet though... Just a mild cam nothing crazy... just want it to breathe a bit better... but other than that I dont know of anything else that will be done to the engine... It has heads on it but I am pretty sure that they are run of the mill cheap stock ones. Its an older engine that is nothing special. I have 6 sets of heads lying around here and there for chevy v-8's. I am wondering if anyone can tell me a site to go to or if anyone just knows which ones would be best to put on the engine. The first set of heads are the ones off the once tuned port 305 that is in it now. I hear that the compression would be to high to use these... but I still have them.

this is the number and info I got off mortec for most of the others

The first set is one of these two...
3884520....60-67...283..........Some marked "Made in Canada", 60cc chamber, also used by Studebaker
3884520....62-67...327..........Some marked "Made in Canada", 60cc chamber, also used by Studebaker

Second set...
3998991....72-73...307/350......75cc chambers

Third Set...
462624.....75-86...350/400......76cc chamber, 1.72/1.5, 1.94/1.5 or 2.02/1.6 valves

Fourth set...
3932441....69-70...350..........76cc chambers
3932441X...69-70...350/400......80cc chambers

I'm not sur if its and X or not... These are old and the numbers are partiall covered and hard to read as of yet... These are the only heads that have 1.94/1.5 valves. The rest have 1.72/1.5 valves on them.

I dont really understand the flow and CC's and stuff of heads, I havent dealt with them much...

I may see if I can get the valve cover off the engine and get the numbers off the ones on it now as well soon.

If there is a web site that has this info more defined or if anyone out there knows more about this subject I would greatly appreciate the info...

ThankS

About the only ones that have much potential are the 441's. They still have large chambers, so compression will be low, especially if the pistons are dished (very likely).

List them all on eBay, and with the proceeds either get a set of 416's put in 1.94" intake valves and do a port job on them, or find something aftermarket.
