Swapping 2.8 to 5.0 TPI...

I've read the post above already i still have some questions. I just wrecked my 87 IROC (frame damage, and founf out it already had frame damage from previous owner) and picked up a spotless 90 RS. Body and frame is in very good shape. My IROC is the donor vehicle. Alot better than my IROC. The main question is the k-member the same in the V6 as the V8? If so, can i just bolt my engine mounts right up to it the V6 member (most likely will get some new ones)? Thanks in advance.

Same crossmember for V8 and V6 engines. Just align the V8 motor mounts with the proper hole pattern and bolt in. You will have to change out the passenger side brake line that runs along the crossmember. The V6 brake line is routed where the V8 motor mounts sit. But since you have a donar car that should be easy to do.

Good luck!
