LS1 382 or 383

I am planning on dropping an ls1 into my 86. But i have been looking fro a good short block or even a pre assimble stroker motor. all i can find is 402s and 408s. Do you guys know any places that sell them or do you recomend having a good shop do it after i get all of the stuff together?

408 is the way to go if your going big..I highly recomend buying the ls1 package as a whole because if you dont your going to be buying ls1 parts that will nickle and dime you to death.

Honestly i recomend you do just a plain ls1 swap if you want allot of power. If you really want allot of unbelievable power I recomend the victory racing engiines build. Still streetable yet violent when you need it. but your going to pay for it is all big bore ls engines are high dollar.
