LM7 Swap Anyone???
Hey there guys,
OK, I have had my car for 4 months now and its ALREADY time to get rid of that 305TBI
First off, I know that the ultimate swap would be an LS1 or LS7...drools...
But I have a fairly tight budget and am saving up to swap this winter, and it just occured to me that you can get an LM7 5.3L 295HP 330Lbs little brother of the LS1 for considerably cheaper... Has anyone here done this swap???
I know you still have the same procedures of an LS1 swap... but the only difference I can think up first is... isnt the oil pan different on the truck engine?? Would I have to get a different accessories setup???
I hope someone here has done this...

If its an LS based engine, then you'd use the Camaro/Firebird oil pan for an LS1 engine.
