It Runs!!!!
It Runs!!!!
Well, I got the new 350 fired up today.
holy crap, I was starting to get a little worried at first. crank crank crank... nothing....
Then all of a sudden we got the backfire of epic magnatude... wow... never going to hear the same again...
So... we were 180 off, turn the crank over, move the dist. nothing... no spark... WTF!!!
we bang our heads against the wall for a few, and it turns out we got a little oil on the dist. cap. once we got it cleaned up we had spark!!! put the plug back in and turned her over... vrroooom bah bleh bah vroom
man is she loud!!! I guess open y-pipe will do that.................
we let her run for about 20 minutes I varied through some different rpm ranges.
We still have a few little issues to iron out...
had some water dripping down the pass. side firewall.... I think I forgot to clamp down one of the hoses to the heater core in the back, but I couldnt really tell where it was coming from. Doesnt appear to be from the block at all. so will need to figure that one out.
Other than that, it appears the clutch isnt fully disengaging... couldnt get it into first and when I got it into second the tires were moving... woops...
we are gonna try to bleed the slave and see if that does what we need.
All in all this was one hell of a rush!! my first time and wow!!! I cant believe its running now!!! WOW!!!! only took me 7 months to get it running... haha I guess thats what happens when you live 3 hours away and only get back on the weekends to work on it...
All in all, no major leaks, and she sounds damn good!

I just fired mine off last week next saturday she goes on the wide ban dyno for proper adjustments. I'm running on open y-pipe too a little loud but does it feel good to get here running. again congratulations.....
