quick transmission question

quick transmission question

3.8L with 5 speed out of a 1998 firebird just wondering if the tranny will bolt up to a 350. I can get it cheap I could be confused but i thought i read it will bolt up with a few different parts just though i'd you guys and see, thanks.

I'm pretty sure it can be forced to bolt up with the right combination of parts.I'm also pretty sure it would last less time than it takes to bolt it in.

Isn't the T5 Transmission the same they use with the the mustangs and gm trucks

The bellhousing won't work. I'm not completely clear on what exactly that T5 is.

hey thanks for the answers to my question so it wont bolt up and if it could it wouldn't be strong enough. I'm still learning here thanks alot.

Try the Transmission and Drivetrain forum, if you haven't already. I don't spend a lot of time there, but believe I've seen it discussed. The later V6 T5's are stronger than the 3rd gen T5's (after all, the 4th gen V6's put out as much power than 3rd gen V8's, right?), but that's all I can remember off the top of my head.
