i have no ses light at all

i've got a TPI 305 from an 86 camaro in my nissan. it's up and running, i've got the timing, minimum air and TPS set. i have a pretty good little skip/miss at idle and the idle fluctuates a couple hundred RPMs. i'd like to check the codes if it's kicking out any, but i don't have a SES light at all. i've been looking for a diagram that'll show me where the wire is for the ses light. does anybody know how to wire up the light so that it'll work properly? i didn't do the swap myself so i'm not familiar with the wiring at the ecm side of the swap, but i've been doing alot of cleaning up under the hood so i know where all that stuff is.

thanks for any help,

kelyn

ok, i figured out how to find the light. i'm getting a code 12....not just the first 3, it keeps on going with the 12. i found somewhere that it means no reference pulses. so, what are those and where do they come from?

Well, quite obviously something is wrong if the idle is fluctuating up and down and there is a miss.

yeah, i finally got a 33, 36 and 44. i did some partial troubleshooting friday but didn't find exactly what the problem was. i need to get a digital meter so i can check the maf output, but i know it has power and grounds. i think the O2 sensor is due to the exhaust being incomlete. maybe the boss will approve getting the exhaust done soon.
