can i remove efi wires under hood
well the previous owner of my car had swapped from efi to a carb so their is a bunch of wires and crap just kinda floating around in the engine bay so i was wonder if it would mess anything up if i started snipping all the wires that arent connected somewhere?

There is a connector at the passenger side kick panel that contains all of those wires. Remove the plastic fender liner and you can get right to it. Unplug that, and remove all of the wires in one piece. Better than cutting,

In the interest of full disclosure, I haven't done it myself, but I have pulled that harness and the "essentials" harness from my V6 can and the V8 donor car, and there are plenty of people on the Board who have done it with their non-computerized conversion to believe them.

If you take the wiring out all in one piece without hacking it or otherwise sodomizing it, you might just be able to make some money off of it. People whose wiring has already suffered a similar fate, but who want to restore their car to its correct function, can use an un-hacked harness.
Why it is that people see wires and immediately the first thing they think of is cutting them, is beyond me. Few other things that are that intricate and valuable seem to inspire the urge to just turn them into garbage. Some psychologist could do the world a favor by researching why wiring has that effect on so many people.
As five7 said, it's REAL EASY to take it all out, all in one piece, INTACT and unviolated. Probably easier than hacking it to bits. And that way, it's still worth something to someone after you're through.
