2.8 v6 to rebuilt 327 v8

i have read the sticky about v6 to v8 swap. im just wanting to know(more specific) what i should look for on this particular swap. this will be my first and i will have help from a friend who has built 4 engines for his 2nd gen camaro. Tranny and rear end....would these work with the new engine? im going to replace both but was hoping to use them temporarily if needed. also im going from fuel injected to carburated....anything i need to upgrade or change for this difference? and one last particular question, engine mounts...will they match up? or need replacing? the reason i ask is my buddy helping me seems to think they might match up. If anybody knows anything about 327's please let me know, its not an engine ive heard much about, from what i read on the net they were made during the 60's for vettes and nova's. thanks

The 327 is basicly the same thing as a 350, the main diffrence is the stroke. It will mount in your car just like any other small block chevy. You will have to get regular smallblock frame mounts (use front 3 holes in the frame to mount them) and you will have to get 3rd gen block mounts (they arent as tall as regular block mounts).

No the transmission will not work. The driveshaft might work depending on what transmission you get. You will have to get a fuel preashure regulator to regulate the fuel preashure down to under 8psi. You can eather sort through your stock wireing for the wires you need or rewire it yourself like i did. It wasent hard to do(it dosent look to good now i still need to cover them).

You can get them on Summit Racing - High Performance Car and Truck Parts | 800-230-3030 or at an autoparts store. Carbed thirdgens dident have them, to my knowledge i think they all had mechanical fuel pumps.
