V6 to V8 Swap, getting a little out of hand...
Hey everyone. I've swapped over my 87 305 TPI from my IROC, which i wrecked, into a newly acquired 90RS that i picked up for $300. My problem is that i can't get the engine to run. I'm still using the 87 engine harness, aswell as the ecm. I found out a couple of things through some trial and error:
(1) The engine does crank over, gets spark and thats about it, so it seems that I've have bypassed VATS.
(2) C100, on 87 engine harness is different from insert in 90 firewall, both seem to have 15 pins to them, with most of them not lining up together, except the main power distributors.
(3) Engine doesn't receive fuel what so ever. Fuel pump for one is not receiving power, due to the gray wire in c100, not connecting with the 87 engine harness. Fuel pump does work though. I applied manual power to it to see if it works and it does.
(4) Fuel injectors are also not receiving any power. This is due to the fact that on my 87 harness, there is a connector (c221), which is the power supply for my injectors, has no where to go in the 90RS. I was told that after 87 that Gm got rid of this connector and just add the power supply for the injectors with dash harness (c207) straight to the ecm.
(5) Last but not least, c207 is totally different between the two cars. There some wires that do line up, while others don't match at all.
So in conclusion, i can't get the engine to run!!!! I'm totally stumped! If i could get some diagrams, or possibly some connectors pinouts for the connectors above and some scans of the service manual diagrams i may possible be able ot get it to run. I kinda run out of solutions so i'm open to all ideas. I really need some help guys. The car has been sitting for 4 months and i have to get it running before the winter comes around, because i have to drive it home. Can anyone help me please? Thanks in advance!

The '87 dash harness is different than the '90 dash harness. Plug pinouts are different, fuel pumps instead of going through the passenger side, go through the bulkhead connector. Two totally different beasts. You will either need to
1. get a '90 TPI engine harness or
2. Use the '87 dash harness in the '90 car.

What about an 89 harness? I believe a 90 harness would be speed density, and i don't know how well that would work with MAF. Is the 89, that last year of MAF, that different from 90, besides the speed density part of the harness?

According to https://www.thirdgen.org/1990-chevy-camaro :
"In 1990, TPI Camaros switched from MAF air metering systems to MAP systems."
AKA, speed density.
