i was wondering where i could get an lt1 in good shape for cheap and how hard it will be

Well it depends on what you call cheap? I've sen them from $1000-$3500.And as I read it it iis not really that bad just a couple of wires to hook up and you got her running. Go to the LTx and LSx board and do a search on LT1 swap it will turn up all you need to know.
