305 TBI TO CARBED 350

has anyone done this before? i know i will need a hei distributor but what else will i need? it is a gm goodwrench crate engine. what size of carb would be the best? any advise would help. thanks

a GM crate motor will bolt right up. I would assume you'd need a new computer, unless you decide to do away with that as well. definatly an HEI distributor. the size carb is all up to you. the average 350 takes about a 500-600 cfm...

---anyway, just to reaffirm to myself, the 305 tbi swapped to a 350 carb would not need a fuel regulator right? i know the 350 carb is going to be lookign for 5-7 psi but the pump currently inside the gas tank would be pumping that anyway right?

He will need a regulator if he is using the tbi pump, or tpi pump. Either way, Mallory makes a return style regulator.

will need a regulator for sure with TBI pump.I have a mallory 4309 and it works good.
