carb'd v6 to TBI Converted to Carb'd 350

ok, here is the issue.. i have read threw the v6 to v8 swap page,, and i have searched threw different threads.. and i am preparing to do this swap.. but i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a few things..

i have my 83 sports coupe, it had the original 2.8 v6 with the th200c or whatever.. it was carb'd, the problem is, i got an 89 350 tbi, that i need to convert to carb'd first.

i think i kind of figured out everything that im gonna need to make this 350 work.. this is just a drop in motor.. im not doing a rebuild yet. first off.. my old oil pan is rusted threw.. so i was wondering.. what kind should i get? does it matter? second, i have a q-jet carb, was wondering.. is there a certain kind of intake i should get? the last thing i wanna know.. is will any of the v6 plugs and hookups for powersteering, sensors, and so forth hook up to the v8 stuff?

im gonna list off everything that i think i figured out what i need.. and will you all lemme know if you think im missing anything, and gimme any input that could help..? also, if it seems like i added more stuff, such as starter and alternator, its cuz i dont have them.

oil pan
radiator
intake manifold
carb
distributor
mechanical fuel pump
starter
alternator
700r4 transmission
torque arm
motor mounts
exhaust manifolds or headers
front shocks and struts

plugs
wires
belt
oil
antifreeze
gaskets

i already have a driveshaft for a 700r4, crossmember, and b&m megashifter, also have a quadra jet carb 4bbl, dunno model.. but if anyone could help that would be awesome.

thanks,
-Jeremy

I think you need to go to a wrecking yard and get a complete V8 from any 82-92 third gen.

The reason is the accessories. If you get one with a quadrajet, you'll have a factory manifold to boot. You really need the third gen specific manifolds and brackets to make your install work right. You are pretty much gauranteed that everything will fit if you start with stock third gen stuff. It will be so much easier for you if you can go to the auto parts store and get belts/hoses/etc.., for an 85 Camaro with an LG4 305 than it will be to breed power steering lines from this to that and so on.

Good luck!
