L03 to L05 swap question

Hi ladies and gents. I am about to do a engine swap soon. The doner engine is a L05 from a 6/92 buick roadmaster wagon. The engine has right 125xxx miles on it and purrs like a kitten. It is still in the car as it has been rear ended by a F250 pickup. I have searched and read that all you need to change is the knock sensor and prom. Since I have the actual car, harness all sensors what am I looking at as far as problems to look for at start up and things of that nature. By the way my car is a 92 RS L03 5speed. Let me know my fellow camaro heads. As I have the need for seat of the pants power. Also I have in mind to get the edelbrock performer plus #3702 cam and lifter set and the #3704 performer plus tbi intake manifold as well. Let me know what u guys think as all the info i can get would be wonderful.

Brian

I can't say I've heard of anyone who has used that cam with a 350 TBI. In general, though, I'd think it would not be a good choice, as it is flat tappet and your engine is roller lifter (might as well keep the roller lifter advantages), for one thing. You'd need a new set of pushrods if you went with it as well. Second, it's an old-school grind, generic, not necessarily computer-friendly, etc. Get a good Comp, Crane, Lunati, whatever, roller computer-compatible grind instead. Get valve springs to match, and retainers to eliminate those exhaust rotators. Yes, that will cost more, but you'd be miles ahead and headaches behind if you went that route instead of the Edelbrock cam.
