Engine: 305 TBI, 350 TPI

Transmission: 700R4 Both Cars

Axle/Gears: 3.23 Posi.. 4 wheel disc both cars

400 SBC in 89 RS

Am thinking about putting an older model SB 400 in my 89...Would love to hear from any and all who have done this...Were there any major problems??? I have done the 305 to 350 swap, on other third gens but man another 100 cubes would be awesome...Are you happy with results??? Are there any pitfalls, or suprises with this swap?? What abouth the TBI, and the Electronics??? Or did everyone just go to a Carb???? Thanks in advance for any help on this issue...Tom

i have a 400sbc in my 83 not problems but my car was already carbed efi would be cool but im sure you would have to learn how to custom tune it

Car: 87 Monte Carlo ss

Engine: ZZ4 1.5 rollers 650DP

Transmission: Probuilt 700-R4

Axle/Gears: 8.5 GN 3.42

The main problem is going to be the 7.5 rear and the 700r4 if it is stock. All that torque does murder to the little 7.5 and the 700r4 will need to be beefed up too.
