Won't run without a VATS module stock. You either need a VATS, VATS bypass module or have it programmed out of your computer. LT1 Swap has a short list of what must be connected for engine to run.

eBay Motors: GM VATS or PASSkey II Bypass Module For LS1 and LT1 (item 220014050176 end time Nov-02-06 10:17:57 PST) I haven't used one of these myself. Do a search on here for Bakerelectronix.

It would probably be easier just to have your PCM reflashed removing the VATS. It's what I would recommend. That way you can have other things removed such as EGR and AIR. You can also have shift points changed for a more agressive shift.

I wouldn't call it easier (or cheaper), but having the PCM reflashed is definately the better way to go. I'm saving that step for later myself until I've decided what I'm doing with the engine. Or should I say, if I have any money left for that stroker crank.
