Whoa down there, partner! We need to explain some things here.

"Long" or "short" block relates to how much of a complete engine you get when you buy a new or rebuilt one. A "short" block has the block, crank, rods, pistons, and rings, along with expansion and galley plugs, but typically not oil pump, cam, lifters, etc. A "long" block is a short block plus heads, cam, lifters, pushrods, typically oil pump, oil pan, timing cover, valve covers - but this isn't defined by law or anything, so exactly what you get is up to the person selling it. It typically will not include water pump, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, carb or fuel injection, or distributor. May or may not include spark plugs, typically not.

Now, what you probably meant was "small" or "big" block. It's a small block, (aka SBC) like the 262, 265, 283, 302, 327, 350, and 400. The big blocks (aka BBC) were 366, 396, 402, 427, and 454, and lately have included 496, 500, and even bigger. There were also 348's and 409's that you could argue are big blocks, but they aren't so common anymore.
