Carb motor to TPI swap?

Ok guys here's my dilemma.I had a 383 motor in my '85 camaro which was carburated but the block cracked. Right now i have a twin turbo setup and AFR's new eliminators 195cc PN#1036. I was thinking about going with a TPI setup, but would the heads that i already bought work? What about the the crank, would i need a 2-piece or a 1-piece? ( mine was orginally a 2-piece). I would like to go fuel injected with the TT setup if possible. Would this be too much work or should i just stay carburated?

For as much as my knowledge serves me, you would need the intake manifold, runners, plenum, fuel rail, injectors, wiring harness, HEI dizzy, an o2 sensor, and the computer. There may be other things im missing since im not a TPI expert but its a pretty straight foward/simple conversion.

I would imagine that you would loose some hp by switching to TPI over carb, but im probably wrong.

now if i had a 400 block, would i be able to keep the block? because all i'll be doing is switching the whole top intake setup basically right?

Twin turbo? Yes, your stuff will bolt onto it, but if cracking blocks is your worry, a factory 400 block is not the way to prevent it.

A stock-bore, 2-bolt main factory block that's been thoroughly checked for cracks and sonic tested for cylinder wall thickness. Aftermarket 4-bolt splayed caps added. By the time you find a good one and get it checked out, bored and machined for the caps and all, you'll probably have about $1800 in it.

You aren't talking about a wimpy combo here. You should only plan on utilizing the "good stuff" if you only want to spend the money once. You might be better off going back to a 2-bolt main 350 block, getting the splayed caps put on it, and sticking with a 383. The chances of finding a usable block are much higher.
