The right Motown....

If you guys where going to build a street motor utilizing a Motown Block, AFR Heads, Superram Intake, and Pro-Charger D1SC blower, which one of the blocks would you use. I dont really care even about the CI, I figured a 383 since the internals would be affordable, but I am open to anything, suggestions welcome. The goal is 600HP or more, streetable on pump gas. I will post the link below. I plan on a fully forged bottom end. And also, the SuperRam is on its way, it has begun!!!!

if you're building a 383 then keep a stock block and build that up. If you're building a motown block it better be 4XX cubes at least. No 600 hp small block will be streetable on pump gas unless you plan on a 150 shot of nitrous to meet your goal or forced induction.

Forced Induction meaning roughly 12psi coming from the D1SC that I listed above?

i was running 16 psi from a stock block for 3 years no issues. Just trying to save you a ton of cash if your goal is a 383 not something much larger. honestly get the 4.115 bored one and if you want to spend the cash then billet main caps are always nice, i'd get the 350 mains since stroker cranks are cheaper for 350 mains over 400 mains.

I'd go with a zz383 shortblock from scoggin-dickey, do some research on what heads/compression would match up best for that setup, or cal the sdpc tech line.

I don't think 600hp FI on pump gas would be a problem or unmanagable. I hope you got or are getting at least 46# injectors with that superram, if not I would get a matched set of those or bigger on order.

Good Luck, let us know how that turns out!
