305 LO3 into early 90's C1500
I was looking at a 93-94 C1500 Stepside. Has a 4.3 V6, about 140 K miles, and standard transmission. How much of a pain would it be to freshen up the old LO3 out of my RS, and drop it in the truck?
I changed the engine and harness in my RS, though it would not be that bad to do in a truck. Gotta be more room to work in!

How much pain would it be? Not as much doing it as it will be when you realize afterward that it was the same amount of pain that putting a 350 would have been, same cost, reduced results.
You are a little upside down with this inquiry. Had you asked about the other direction, that's completely consistent with Board rules and intent. If your question could be considered pertinent to what 3rd gen'rs might do to their car, it would be acceptable.
But, this just doesn't qualify on either account, I'm afraid.
Sorry.
