camaro to corvette engine

alright so i have a 86 irocz with the typical 305 tpi in it with a 700r4 transmission. i found a 1984 corvette engine that can bolt up to the same tran. its a 350 tpi. so if i go though with this and buy the motor am i gonna have problems with the motormounts or with the wiring harness? let me know if i'm walking into a problem that i dont' want to take on.

Build/buy a carbed 350+ci motor if you're looking for power, itll be a lot less hassle. Im dropping my 89 L98 (5.7 TPI) for a carb'd 406sbc...

TPI is more trouble than its worth...

Make sure you put in a "good" rebuilt 350 and not just something thrown together by someone making minimum wage who couldnt care less.

Sorry you couldnt hack it with TPI, but there are plenty of us who can and make great power with them. Fuel injection is much better for a street car.

Remove the 305. Put the TPI stuff from it on the Vette 350. Put it in your car.

It doesn't matter that an '84 Vette had Crossfire. The engine will work fine under your TPI. There's nothing special about a TPI engine, or anything wrong with the Crossfire engine. No motor mount issues, no wiring harness issues (you'll be using your existing TPI harness). You might have to change the oil pan & pump pick-up - big deal.
