Hi,
I'm going to swap my original -85 305 tpi to 350 vortec(block and heads).
That vortec crate have 8" balancer and 168 tooth flexplate. Can I re use pulleys(v-belt exept alternator),accessory brackets, waterpump, oilfilter adapter, oil dipstick and tube from my old engine?.New engine has a plastic timing cover ,is it ok or must i chage it to steel one?

should be no problem. not sure about the flexplate, the '86 305 is 153, the starter should be ok with either. you'll need the intake and valve covers off the vortec as well.
what year is the vortec?
