v6 to v8

ok this is a fourth gen question, but there is no fourthgen.org lol. I do own a 92 rs also so maybe you guys can help me out. hopefully. I founda 93 camaro with no motor and trans for dirt cheap. it was orignally a v6 car. I would like to buy it and smallblock carb it. Just a fun little toy. What will i have to change to get it to fit. i know radiator and prolly diff would be smart. but i mean like motor mounts and such just what do i need to get the motor to bolt down. i was planning on using a 1979 sbc. thanks for the help

I dont think your going to get much of a response on this board. I think I would try Z28.com or LS1.com or perhaps LS1 tech.com

I think the 4th gen V8 mounts will work as far as bolting the new motor down. Just go to a parts store and buy the mounts for a '93 Z28 and see if they bolt up to the '79 sbc. I think they do but not sure.

Also, while I'm at it I'll strongly encourage you to put an LT1 in with a T56. Just a much better motor and tranny than going 'old school' in my opinion.
