V6 To V8 stuff
So I know I need to swap out most suspension parts, transmission, linkages, wiring harness, exhaust, ECM, most of the computer stuff, motor mounts (obviously
) and some other stuff. But what if I just bought a trashed Z28 or Iroc-z and put all of the suspension parts, under dash stuff, computer, and trans into my car? Oh yes, and I need to know, is there a difference in the transmission for the 6 and for the 8, whats the V8 transmission called, my car has the Borg and Warner (MB1 on the build sheet) with a GU6(3.42) rear. Would that gear be too high for a V8 5 speed?

I do know that your gearing will be fine even though you probably don't have posi. The bolt pattern on the V6 is 60 degrees and the V8 is 90. I believe you can change the bell housing, but don't quote me.
If you have the spare car, the best thing to do is salvege ALL the parts needed off the V8 car and move them over to the recipient.
Here's a link to where you'll find some more info...better than I can give!

I like my 6er, but it's got 191000 km on it, so I'm not sure how long it's going to last as a daily driver. But sorry, I didn't see the Engine Swap board.. I was kind of hurrying..
