*URGENT* 350 GTA into my 305 TPI car...

It is possible that I can get my cousins 99xxx mile 350 TPI from here GTA...

I have a 305 TPI in my 92 Z28, would the swap be a lot of work?!?!?!

What is a resonable price for the 350, right now it runs strong in her GTA...

My little cousin though 700 would be a good price...

So anybodies help could be appreciated now, while I'm still talking to her.

Its not like a I don't talk to her... its just she has like 3 other buyers right now...

Does the intake look similar? Chances are (I could be wrong) the only difference between the 350 TPI and the 305 TPI was the PROM chip and possable differences in the intake (trottle body dia., injectors, ect.). It will bolt right up to (as well as the wiring) your camaro.

Can't he still use all the hardware from the 350 and just get a 350 chip for his ECM?

305 LG4 > 350 TPI

Although I did not do the work, my 1987 IROC has a 1989 TA 350 TPI in it. The prev owner did an entire swap (harness & powertrain) and he told me it was not a huge issue, but had to "pin-match" the IPs on the IROC. Also, even to this day, the headlight wiring has been a problem since the TA has 1/side, the camaro 2/side. the light harness swap is not straightforward.

Skoda,
Even if the 350 is MAF, my understanding is he can run it MAP with the old harness and ECM. For that matter, stick the 350 long block under the 305 intake. Swap the injectors and get a 350 chip for his ECM.

Well,

I thought it would of been a more straight forward swap... just need a 350 computer and bingo...

Besides the engine... how much in extra parts are we talking about?

In theory all you need is a 1992 350 chip to replace your 305 chip inside the ECM. Everything else can come from your car or the 350.

Lots of places. Do a search for TPI PROM. TPIParts.net Skoda mentioned has 'em for $75.

if you are taking the motor just take the ecm too. keep your map setup and swap injectors like was mentioned earlier. If you need any help just pm me I have done probably 3 dozen swaps so no big deal.

Yes, you unplug your 305 version and plug in the 350. There is a little cover on your ECM (computer). Its under there. It holds all the programing that based on the sensors, decides when to open the injectors and then close them again among other things.
The discussion has been revolving around not knowing what the 350 is. There are Mass Air Flow versions that use a heated wire to measure how much air is entering the motor versus Manifold Absolute Pressure (speed density) that relay on assumptions and look-up tables in lieu physically measuring how much air is entering the motor.

She has the same intake as mine if that matters...

Okay this dones't sound so bad....

Uh.. Do I need her wiring harness or not? and what kind of injectors do I need and why...

No you don't need her harness. You do need the larger injectors from the 350. The off the shelf factory PROM for a 350 assumes they are a specific size (22lb/hr?). If you use the smaller 305 injectors (19lb/hr?) your engine won't get enough gas.
If her intake has all the same sensors and connections as yours the swap gets really easy.

Okay,

350 from an 88 GTA
22# Injectors, specific brand?
90-92 350 TPI PROM

Anything else?

Wait... doesn't her engine have the injectors...I can only find 21# and 24# injectors... where's her injectors?!
