question for the lt1 thirg gen owners
Its time I did something about the drivetrain in my 89 iroc. My question is for all the guys with third gens running lt1s. Do any of you guys ever wish you'd sprung the extra dough and put an ls1 in your car rather than the lt1? The lt1 swap is within my budget. The ls1 is a tad out of reach for me right now. I think the lt1 will give me the grunt I want. (13s would make me so happy, I'd pee my pants).
So what do you guys think. The ls1 is really cool, I know, but would be more money and a little more work. I'll have to do the whole swap in about a week since this is my daily driver.
I'll be going from an auto to a t-56 too, with any luck.
Thanks in advance for your input.

LT1 is cheaper/easier to install and upgrade. If you can't afford a low mileage LS1, get a rebuildable LT1.
I don't think a week is realistic to perform the swap unless you've done one before and have a hoist. One special order part could kill your whole schedual.
