Not sure what to do about this

Im in the middle of a swap, and Until today I thought that there was not a difference in how a Flywheel would bolt onto my new 350. To my surprise when I went to bolt the flywheel up to the back of the crank, the flywheel wouldnt even fit on the back of the crank. The bolt holes dont even line up. Is there a "Bigger bolt pattern" flywheel that will fit the crank of the 350?

Not sure what year the crank in my new motor is, The fly wheel is of a 1992 Z28. Im goint to check this morning to see if my old flywheel from my old 305 will fit. I hope it does. I need my car back and working by today at 5p.m. Im puting a new motor and tranny in my car................

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
They changed the crank flange on both the 305 and the 350 starting in 86.

Sounds like you have an early model (85-back) motor, and a late model (86-up) flex plate or flywheel. It has NOTHING to do with 305 vs 350. In any given year, both sizes of motor use the same flex plate or flywheel.

Go get the one for 83-85 Camaro/Firebird V8.
