new motor
hey, i have a question, it's a fairly broad question, but here goes.. I'm swapping in a freshly rebuilt small block. it's bored .40 over and i'm temporarily running stock 74cc heads with non roller rocker arms. compression i'm guessing is under 9 probably 8:9. i'll be running slp headers and y pipe and a american thunder catback. no cat converter just straight pipe. Edelbrock torquer 2 and a 750 edlebrock 4 brl carb. the cam is a stock very mild cam. not sure of the lift and duration, but it's very weak. my question is what should this small block be putting out at the flywheel?
I'm low on cash now, but in the near future i'm gonna switch to the vortec heads, performer rpm air gap, and a bigger cam. not to mention some roller rocker arms. the tranny and rear end are stock for now, but i'm planning on focusing on that after the motor is to my standards.

Re: new motor
it will maybe put out 210hp-240hp. That intake is one of the worst designs ever and a stock cam won't make much power either.
