Question about tpi and tbi motors?
i have a 305 tpi that im lookin to replace with another 305! a guy is offering me a 305 tpi out of a camaro for 400! and another guy offered me a 305 tbi motor out of a camaro!he is only at 10min away form me! but my question is is it going to be a hassel if i buy the tbi motor? what would i need? any help would be appreciated thanx, rob!

The main differences between the TPI and TBI longblocks are the heads and cam. TBI come up short in both instances.
If you put your heads and cam from your engine on/in the TBI engine, it will be exactly what you have.
If you put your heads and cam from your engine on/in the TBI engine, it will be exactly what you have.

So five7kid, if I put TPI heads on my car, and cam, I will pick up HP???? Is it worth doing???? I have a 305 LO3 right now...Thanks, Tom
