i swapped the stock 4 banger for a creat 305 thats beefed, cam, air intake, carb, normal stuff, but will my stock 4 speed hold up to the new engine, it is pushing 300 hp, now idea what old one was pushing

 

The 4 banger does about 90 hp, or so it's supposed to. Is that tranny a 4 speed manual (Saginaw), or auto (700R4)? If it's the Saginaw, you'll be better off with a T-5, and of course, the proper bellhousing.

 

its a four speed stick, on tranny it said z-bag, brand? i found an truck bell housing that fitted the 305 to the old tranny, and also a truck fly wheel, i know its big and heavy, but it is also huge but it will be great for ridding the cluth
