v6 to v8 swap???

Car: 82 Berlinetta/57 Bel Air
Engine: L92/LQ4 (both w/4" stroke)
Transmission: 4L80E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
No such thing exists.
Cheapest? Probably a wrecked factory V8 car that still has a decent engine and transmission.
Most popular? Not sure what that means. What most people do? What gets chears from the crowd? What most people would want to do? From hanging around these parts for the last 7 years or so, the most common engine used seems to be 70's vintage 350's from trucks. That may not be, however, the best choice.
Strongest? Again, what does that mean? Longest lasting? Highest strength cast iron? Most power? Whatever that is, it probably doesn't match up with "cheapest" or "most popular" either. "Most power" would probably be a Shafiroff engine - got ten thousand dollars to spend? You'd better have another ten thousand to spend on the car to make it strong enough to take it.
