gasket question

im swapping in a 350 for a 305, the heads on my 305 are almost brand new, with new springs, lifters, hardened rods and everything else. Im going to use my 305 heads, should i get a 305 head gasket or a 350head gasket?

Re: gasket question

The head gasket bore has to be at least the bore of the cylinder. You could use a 350 gasket on a 305 block, but you'd be giving up some compression.
