hey guys, i am in the process of reworking the motor in my formula. it has a 91 vette 350. problem, no vette heads. anyhow, i can get a great deal on a set of 93 z28 lt1 68cc aluminum heads with comp cams aftermarket springs. before i buy i was wondering how much work is involved with switching them out. with the reverse flow cooling? is it required. if so what the best route. i took off the tbi set up. i added a holley 750 dbl pumper. i have a 5 speed trans. and i added a edelbrok rpm air gap manifold. along with a msd 50,000 volt hei vac adv distributor. and all msd ignition wires. a cam is in the works as well. something like a 230 or 240 by 480. from comp cams. just wonder if its worth getting and how much work is involved with the heads. thanks in adavnce for the help

More work than just purchasing a set of aftermarket heads for a standard 350. The LT1 heads do not flow water through the intake like a standard SBC. There was a guy on here who did it though, took alot of work of sealing up the reverse flow passages with aluminum slugs being welded in the heads, then milled down and new passages cut to work with a standard intake and waterpump.
