Are the motor Mounts the in the same place? its a 496 bb ...........any other problems i may encounter header clearence? clearence with the radiator and electric fans ?????

 

The SBC and BBC mount locations on the block are the same. The BBC is a longer block. The extra length goes forward since the transmission doesn't move it's location. Motor mounts don't interfere with headers. It will get tight between the rad and the water pump. It depends what fan system you use. It depends what water pump you use. When I still ran a stock rad with the dual electric fans, a short water pump with electric drive was about 1/2" from one of the fan motors.

 

thank you ! what size radiator is appropriate 3 row? alum reg ? will that give enough room for fans? figure ill guess the problems before i run into them during the install

 

your factory rad and dual fans should cool it fine.
