Not terribly complicated. Most things are the same as any other V8. The dipstick tube will be on the drivers side instead of the passenger side like it was with factory V8s used in thirdgens.

My block is a 1974. All of my accessories from my 1988 bolted right on (alt, a/c, p/s). I did have to drill and tap two bolt holes on the left and right side of the crank for the brackets. The bosses were there, they just weren't tapped.
The dip stick tube is on the opposite side. This was a problem because my factory manifold blocked it. Once I did headers, I bought a flexible dip tube, and everything is cool.
