Fuel Pump Question?

I am doing a TPI Switch into a TBI Car.. I know i need to change the fuel pump but do i need to keep the hoses on the top. I never change a electrical fuel pump before i know i need to drop the tank but what else is needed for the switch. Also there is a senser on in the middle part of the rear of the car that hooks to the tank.. How do i run this? What is the part number i need? Anything guys!

The fuel pump change procedure is exactly the same as it would be if you were changing the pump for TBI, just use a pump intended for TPI instead.

The only sensor I know of is the gas gage sender. The fuel pump mounts in the same bracket in which the sender is located.

Re: Fuel Pump Question?

the senser i am talking about the wire goes through the car from the dash to the center of the rear seats. Through the floor and into the tank.. I am guessing your right about the gauge senser? Do i have to splice any wires to get it to work?
