6.0 Vortech

Will a 6.0L Vortec and its 4l60E out of a newer suv fit in a thirdgen. These seem to have pretty good numbers and cost alot less than a used LS1. I am a little worried about the weight increase. Are these aluminum or Iron? They look like it would just have the same K-memeber issues as the LS1.

Externally identical to the LS1, iron instead of aluminum.

Re: 6.0 Vortech

Roughly 50-80lbs difference. The 6.0 still uses aluminum heads though.
