Pushrod length with 1.6 Rocker ratio?
Pushrod length with 1.6 Rocker ratio?
We just put a 383 stroker block in a 87 TA along with Patriots SBC 195cc heads, ZZ9 Cam (212/226 .483/.520 112 LSA).
What length pushrods is recommended with this cam and 1.6 rocker arms?
Also what HP numbers should this setup approx. make on the engine?
Thanks guys for any input

Stock length for a non-roller engine is 7.800 inches. For a roller cam, its 7.200 inches. You'll need a pushrod length checker to know for sure what length works with your engine.

Re: Pushrod length with 1.6 Rocker ratio?
Hey guys, How did the 383 turn out? I am at the same problem you are right now. I have a non roller cam and Vicor Jr. Cyl heads. I need to decide on pushrods. BUT I also have a problem with time. I am working in a friends shop and NEED to get the car running today.
If i buy the 7.8 length rods, what is the worst that can happen if those arent the correct length?
EDIT: I am probably going to buy the checker and the correct pushrods today... just a pain in the *** since the speed shop closes early on sundays.
