Seems like the search function is down so Ill just post a couple quick questions I have. In the process of wrapping up a tbi to carb conversion and am trying to figure out what cables Ill need. I know one cable is the carb throttle cable which is shorter than the tbi cable, but I can seem to find it on ebay or any of the sites sponsors. ANy ideas where to find it? Also isnt there one more cable I need for this swap? Whats the name of it?

Haven't done it myself, but I was under the impression that you could use the TBI cable on a carb. It's TPI that's longer.

But, I could be wrong.

The other cable is the throttle valve or "TV" cable to the transmission.

And cruise control cable if you have it.

 

I used the stock tbi cable for my holley. Works fine.

 

I used both stock cables (throttle and TV) when I swapped my tbi to 355 carb w/o any problems on my last 3rd gen.

 

I also Swaped to a holley vs. tpi. no problems, used both tpi cables. Might need different mounting brackets to get them adjusted to your likings.

 

don't mean to jack a thread but I'm going from MPFI v6 to carb 350. and i was wondering if i can use a universal cable to make it work. something like a spectre?
