best year 350
what would be a good year 350 to build up(cam, intake, ported heads)to achieve approx. 300rwhp in my auto rs. want a carb setup!!

Solid advice.
There isn't any particular year that would be best for making 300 HP. There are several blocks to avoid, such as those with cracks, those with casting core shift, those mis-machined by the factory, etc. Typically early blocks, pre-roller.
