I'm thinking about swapping out the 5-speed in my 97 firebird to an automatic, any ideas what I'll need to do this?

 

brake pedel set-up for the automatic, tranny obviously, shifter, shifer cable, some sort of release (i'm assuming optional) through the steering wheel so that brake has to be depressed and car need to be in "on" to shift, and a slew of sensors and possibly a harness, a park/nuetral switch that may come on the shifter you find is just a couple of the things that you will need.
