Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
If you get an '87-up 350, it will basically bolt up in place of your 305. What it will take to get it running right is probably a slightly different story. The exhaust on those TBI LO3 305's was super small and restrictive, too small for the 305 even. So, with a 350, it will be an even worse restriction. Seriously consider headers and full exhaust on back.
If you keep the TBI, there will be things you'll want to upgrade to get it running right. The TBI forum has details on all that.

Re: 350 swap?
Also i would say if your planning on any mods you might wanna get the World Class T-5..... the t-5 your using is fine for a stock 350 for a while but if you mod you 350 your stock t-5 won't hold up if its beat on at all..... based on my expieriences... if i'm wrong someone correct me..............
