There is no "package" for changing from EFI to carb. There is, however, a tech article about it linked from the thirdgen.org homepage.

Re: 1992 caprice
howdy there
you have a couple different options/ways to do this
and both are pretyt easy
either find a dirt common 87 and 88 carb intake from a caprice, van, monte, etc and swap that intake on your 92 engine
or swap the heads for 86 and older ones and run any carb intake before 87
the heads changed in 87 the center four holes in the heads for the intake changed the angle alot
so thats is why 87 and up wont go with 86 and down
but some 87 and 88 were still carb depending on the year make model
i know alot of the 88 caprices are carb still
and some others
i owned an 88 caprice landau LG4 not too long ago,
common as heck
good donor for the intake to run carb on the 87-95 engines
Q jet only
unless you run an adapter to use edlebrock or holley, etc
but those suck alot more fuel down than the Q jets did
by far
swapping from FI to carb is one of the easiest simplest conversions you can possibly encounter in the world of SBC and BBC engines
and evne more so if you dont plan on using the ESC/EST system and have no emissions equipment inspections or testing there
if not then you can completely remove the entire large wiring harness on the pass side of the engine compartment and the ECM behind the pass side kickpanel
but then you will hve a large hole in the firewall cowl where it ran through to patch up haha
as i do in my 82 t/a LG4
on the 85 elkyss we are restoring completely and jut painted yesterday we retained the entire ESC system after completely rebuilding the engine and boring it .030 over and putting in a 350 camshaft
it runs STRONG
not even the check engine light comes on
its PERFECT
good luck!

Re: 1992 caprice
are you working on a caprice ?
im confused here
if the fuel pump in the tank was running a TBI engine then you could get away with connecting it to the carb sure
but if it was TPI or CFI or something else then youll need to convert it to mechanical pump and drop the fuel tank and eliminate the electric pump and replace it with a length of hose so that it can suck fuel out of the tank still without the pump on the pump hanger assembly
real easy
700r4 for a th350 is simple too although the th350 mount is further front than the 700r4 are
so you need to move the crossmemeber or make a 1.5" wide relocation plate for the mount
sumit racing has them in the B&M bracket kits
just a flat pice of steel with four holes on it
simple as well
the HEI just takes one wire for key on and off power
and the starter is same wiring
alternator same too although if you run an older style alt you just have to chwnge the wire ends ot the older style, thats all
simple as well
wont need the ECM and ECM harness either,
just remove it
why dont you jut run TBI in it ?
be alot simpler
and save $ and time
TBi is dirt common
good luck
