Oil Dipstick Issue
Oil Dipstick Issue
I have an 84 H.O. I swapped out the 305 for a 350 but it is an older block, the dipstick is on the driver side, the hole is by the top of the deck just at the base of the head. The original exhaust manifolds go over the top from the ports and lie very close to the valve covers and the main exhaust port/exit is right in front of the dipstick hole and will not allow the dipstick tube to mounted in the correct position. Has anyone out there delt with issue, any help would be appreciated

You can tweak the tube to fit, or replace it with a flexible aftermarket one.

Yep, tried the tweak thing, and it's very difficult to get the dip stick back in after removing it. Trying to stay away from the cost of headers and re-doing my exhaust, getting pretty frustrated
