so i just put my new motor in my 92 z-28.....and it wouldnt start with the key....it has full msd ignition, i put a aeromotive fuel system on it also.....well too make a long story short i ended up putting the starter on a push button and got it started......what wires do i need to modify too make it start with the key????? i know it has the vats but if i removed the computer does that still play a role in the ignition somehow?

Yep, VATS. There's a tech article about it, read that and see if that solves your problem.
