How do you tell left from right motor mounts sbc
I have a 83 camaro with sbc trying to figure out what motor mount goes on drivers side and passenger side stock mounts let me know thx

I had them side-by-side, made measurements, couldn't see any difference between them with regard to the bolt holes.
But, from the factory, the one with the slight bends below the bolt hole goes on the passenger side.
At least that's the way mine was, and I was told the engine had never been out of the car (no way to verify that).

I wasn't willing to find out, so I put them back the way they were.
Some members have reported problems that were fixed when the mounts were switched side-to-side. Probably something else that was tweaked that made the difference, but I really don't know.

There both the same left and right, in all small and big block, 2.8lv-6, and 4.3lv-6. hope this helps!
